  1. Yeah, I'd say so.

  2. That is correct. The Marine Corps for example is now trying to focus much of it's energy towards Afghanistan now since conditions in Iraq are improving.

  3. Yes. 3 months may not sound like a lot of time...but it is very hard on both the soldiers and their families.

  4. My husband is in Afghanistan and was deployed there in March so the whole  back to 12 months doesnt effect him he still has to do the 15 months.  But yes they are pulling out of Iraq in 12 months that way they can go home for 12 months and deploy to Afghanistan.  Afghanistan doesnt have enough troops there now so they are taking from Iraq.  I still think 12 months is way to long to be away from familes.  I have  a 7 month old son and my husband left when he was 3 months old.  He is missing out on so much of his life.  I am very stressed and so is he.  This is why the soldiers come back all messed up.  They are away for way to long.  My husband is out of the most deployed bases in the US.  He is home from 12 months gone for 12 months.  I think I would rather him be gone 6 months home 6 months.

  5. ya i think your right there just going to get re-deployed
