  1. If it was maintained properly, the VQ motor is very reliable.  50,000 is not that much.  Maintenance is the key though.  Make sure the seller has proof of everything.

  2. i have worked on Nissan's at a Nissan dealership for 10 years and the 350z is a great car its all how there treated i have seen them get a lot of abuse and they take it 50000 miles is not much miles at all they are 200000 mile car at least  and BOY ARE THEY FUN TO DRIVE yes you need performance tires and stay with the sizes that are on them those are the only tires that are made in there sizes the front and back are different sizes and are important for the way they perform Goodyear has them in there size and aren't bad price stay away from the Firestone's for them they don't grip well and they cost more

  3. My last 3 vehicles have been Nissan products, all of them SUVs.  I beat the holy heck out of them with camping and driving vacations.  I hope I'm not jinxing my current wheels by saying this, but repairs have been minimal, and those haven't been expensive.  Fifty thousand miles on a Nissan product is a quarter of it's probable life, depending on the driver and usual maintenance.  I've got 136,000 on my truck, it's 10 years old, and I've spent about $1,000 on repairs, excluding new tires, oil changes, transmission service, etc.  I say go for it...

  4. if you are concerned with how much the tires will cost for that car, then you are not ready to purchase a 350z.

oh, and you have to put premium gas in it
