Is it good to let an child hold there pee in?

i want to know if i should make my child hold in there pee for an amount of time. my aunt use to do this to her child.

if they do something wrong they have to hold in there pee for an setan amout of time and they have to drink 10 12oz glasses of water before punishment starts and if they wet there pants they have to start the amount of time over and after she drinks 10 glasses of water her punishment starts but she has to 100 sit ups and then she hand cuffs her hands in back of her back and hand cuffs her feet and makes her stand in one spot in and circle that she drew onn the floor and if she moves or talkes she has to start over and if she wets her pants she has to drink 5more glasses every time she messes up and then she is still GROUNDED on the other hand tell should i ---------------------

plus she said it workes she did this since her son was 7

No, that is bad.  Not only wrong to make someone do that, but it is bad on your bladder.  It can cause infections and what not.

That is a really odd form of punishment. Actually, i would say it is more torture then it is punishment. Horrible way of punishing a child.

No way, I do not think that is a good idea at all.  That is not a healthy way to disipline a child in my eyes.  Most young children dont have the ability to hold in their pee.  No one should be made to hold their pee in, especially a child.  I think that there are more effeciant ways to disipline a child other then doing that and hand cuffs!
