Is it good to swim first thing in the morning (before breakfast)?

Was also wondering if the temperature of the water affects caloric burn? (Because it is definitely cooler in the mornings).

  1. I swim also before breakfast every morning and I say that it helps. You have more energy throughout the day and you get your endorphins working. For breakfast, eat something small (like a granola bar) and eat something bigger after.

    Whereas your other question, I think so.

  2. Yes if you don't get light headed.  Personally I need to eat before and of course it is not good to swim straight after eating.  If you can cope then it will burn up any fat as you will be running on empty then.

  3. by getting cardio in the morning  before you eat you are burning straight fat as opposed to burning food energy later on in the day.    workouts before breakfast have an awesome calorieburn so keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. It is better for training to eat before swimming otherwise you are using other energy stores which break down easily and  you can't finish strong.  If you eat a bowl of cereal before swimming you will burn it off and then some.  

    The higher the water temperature the more calories you burn.
