  1. Primo!!!  the 444 Marlin will drop anything on this continent; the best brush gun in the world; accurate, powerful, fun to shoot, yada; have I missed anything? Dependable, reliable, the list is endless..............................

  2. Sure.  The .44 Magnum carbine has been killing deer for years.  The .444 Marlin is just a .44 Mag on steroids!  You won't get as much range as say a .30-06 or 7mm Rem. Mag. but if you do your part it'll even take Moose.

    Happy hunting.

  3. Yes! The 444 marlin is basically a .44 magnum bullet that has a larger case and of course more powder and power behind it. Here in Ohio we have a handgun season and the .44 magnum is allowed for taking deer. But as with anything hunting laws vary from state to state so so you need to check with your local DNR " Dept. Natural Resources" to see what they allow?

  4. Great choice

  5. 444 marlin on Deer? ---- Decent choice... Remember its not a long range cartridge but for distances up to 150 to 200 yards its great.......

  6. Yes. A .444 Marlin is good for deer, elk, moose, bears even Alaskan bears using a bullet weight of 240 grs..

  7. Great choice.*

  8. You have an outstanding choice in the .444 Marlin.  For deer i would recommend 240 gr hollowpoints, but should you ever choose to step up to larger game you will want bullets that are constructed more heavily.  265 gr hornady bullets for moose and bear, and hard cast 300's for stepping up to hunt those that can eat you.
