  1. I don't think Emily Post got around to writing a chapter on bigger people going topless while outdoors. Although I think it's very polite of you to consider other people's feelings, people should be kind enough to consider your feelings as well. The outdoors is a public place and unless you're planning to go running around an area that has a homeowners associaton that has policies against topless exercising, I don't think you'll get into any trouble. I don't think that many people are bold enough to say anything to your face if they find you less than attractive. Even if they do, who cares? You're improving your looks and health at the same time!

Good luck with the weight loss and don't forget the sunblock!

  2. yes, keep your shirt on please

  3. If you're not sensitive about your weight, then go for it.  I'm sure you'll get some rude people that say something to you, but just shrug it off or come up with something witty to yell back.

  4. Don't worry about what other people think. Just run.

  5. I don't think it's gross.

Basically I would say if you're outdoors - working, exercising or just hanging out - it's OK most of the time.  I think in some gyms - playing basketball, volleyball, etc it may be OK as well.  Obviously if you see anything posted about "shirts required" you need to respect those rules.

And, my own rule: if you're with a lady ask her if it's OK with her before taking your shirt off.

Other than that - I'd say go for it.  It will get a lot easier (and more enjoyable) after the first time - and as you work off a few pounds.

    Hope you enjoy.

  6. No, especially if your only a little overweight.  It's fine.

  7. Don't worry about it.  If you're working on looking good and getting some sun on your chest and back, take the shirt off.  It'll help motivate you to keep going and do well.

    I say, go for it.

  8. who cares if someone see you running outside without a shirt?

unless your on property that requires people to wear a shirt.

  9. No its not gross at all

just think of it as killing 2 birds with one stone

  10. It's good that you want to start running. Running shirtless is the most comfortable way. Just go for it!
