Is it gross to wear someones used plaster cast?

I don't know why you would want to wear one that had belonged to someone else.

1st, the cast was made for the other poerson, and formed on that body part. therefore, it would probably not fit you, anyway.

2nd, Casts are worn for a longer length of time, usually about 6 weeks, and there is no opportunity to cleanse the skin inside the cast. Dried skin flakes would have inpregnated the cast lining.

3rd.. Personal hygiene would dictate common sense, advising this is not the best of ideas.

I think so.  Just think, it's been on somebody for about 6 weeks without being able to clean the area.  

However, depending on how long it's been off of the person, it has probably dried out so any bacteria should have died.  But it's better to be safe than sorry.

This is gross to say the least.They might have been close to somebody's skin who could not wash properly for weeks .YUCK
