Is it guaranteed that you will get pregnant if you have s*x during ovulation?

I had unprotected s*x yesterday with my fiance and not until today when I went to wipe I had the sticky like discharge that people describe as "egg whites" that I figure is ovulation, so I just wondered, is it a definite chance that I will become pregnant, or does not everybody get pregnant during ovulation? Also, I wasn't supposed to ovulate for another week so this is kinda strange...... answers are greatly appreciated! ♥

  1. You can ovulate and still not get pregnant as I did last month.  However with the factors you are describing it is still VERY possible that you are pregnant.

  2. if you are ovulating, there is a chance you could get pregnant as sperm can survive up  to 5 days after s*x. if you dont want to get pregnant i would suggest you get the morning after pill.

not everyone gets pregnant when they ovulate, but there is always a chance.

that egg-white could just be some of your partners fluid come back out which is totally normal.

  3. Ovulation is when the egg leaves the ovary and begins it's journey down the fallopian tube.  The discharge has nothing to do with it and is normal.  Your ovulation is generally fourteen days before the day your period is supposed to start.  There is usually a three day window to get pregnant.  Since most people don't have perfectly regular periods, you should add three days before and after the three days of ovulation.  If you don't want to get pregnant, use protection those days.  This is called the rhythm method and is very unreliable but if you want to get pregnant it's helpful to calculate your estimated days of ovulation.  One thing my doc told me is NOT to have s*x every day if you are trying to conceive...have it every other day so the sperm has a chance to build back up.  s*x every day = low sperm count.

If you don't want to get pregnant get on the pill or something so you don't have an accident.

  4. It's not guaranteed but it the time where it is most likely.  I'd get the 72 hour pill just to be on the safe side.

  5. I have been trying for 10months with no luck on getting pregnant...so No you dont always get pregnant. :)

  6. i had the same thing happen last month. but not luck. ovulation doesnt all ways neccessary occur on the same day every month. and you dont necessary get pregnant even if you ovulate as an egg will last 24 to 48 hours and in that time needs to be fertilised so if your not sure if you are pregnant you would have to wait 3 weeks after the day you ovulated.

  7. The chances are greater if you are ovulating but not everyone gets pregnant when they ovulate. The "egg whites" as you described my have been s***n that just did not come out until today. If you are trying to get pregnant I wish you the best.

  8. The egg white CM shows up around 4 or 5 days before ovulation. You should be safe, but you never know. Some sperm have been shown to live in a hospitable environment for 7 days.

  9. No it's not guaranteed.

  10. well it is never really a guarantee that u will get pregnant but it is alot easier to get pregnant during your ovulation dates however u can get pregnant almost every if not every day of the month people can try for years without getting pregnant if you are trying however good luck
