Is it hard for a person to make it to the olympics by starting badminton at 14?

  2. To make it to the olympics requires a lot of talent and practice even if you start at age 6. So to answer your question, yeah, it's hard. That being said, it's possible, especially if you have a passion for the game and devote a lot of time to practicing. I started in earnest when I was probably 14 and now two years later I'm #1 in my state. My advice is don't hang all your hopes on going to the olympics, it's very hard no matter how good you are...but keep practicing and maybe in ten years you'll be good enough... a lot can happen in that time and a lot of people don't have the follow-through to reach their full potential. If you put a lot of effort into it for many years and slowly work your way up through state and finally national tournaments then you can do it. Just don't burn yourself out.
