I'll be graduating from college in one year and was interested in seeing another part of the world. I originally wanted to relocate to Germany where I have a lot of family but the language barrier would prevent me from doing so. I'm currently studying economics and have been working in a bank for several years. I wanted to know what the job market looks like over there and if companies discriminate against Americans (heard from a friend).

  1. no,one of my teachers are american, the guys that own a shop down town are american

  2. as long as you leave your c**p at home you won't have a problem, but be warned, a loud mouthed american WILL get a serve.

  3. No......I don't think thats the case at all, here anyone with

an accent is welcomed and found interesting.

As for work , with being a college grad. you will be more

favourably accepted, also if you pointed out that your just

not here for a month and maybe moving on ?

You need to say your parents have moved to Australia and

you are so exited to be living here and can't wait to settle

    into work !  Good luck

  4. It all depends on what work you are looking for.

Here in Austrlia there is a big shortage in what the Government calls "skilled workers" but I do not know jst what that means.  They are activly looking for overseas "skilled workers" to fill jobs.

Look fo some Aystrlian Job sites on the net and see what sort of Jods are on offer
