  1. depending on how far along you are...if you are already showing simple answer is YES even though it is illegal for an employer to discriminate against  pregnant women they dont like hiring someone who is pregnant because they will only be there for a couple months and then leave to have the baby and pregnant women usually have some type of limitations when working ie standing on feet all day ...going to the bathroom alot etc though it may sound petty employers dont like hiring pregnant women so if you want a job and you are pregnant I suggest finding and getting one before you start to show ...or try daycare centers

  2. yes because you are a liability but they by law can not hire you due to pregnancy. unless you dont make the requirements in like a heavy lifting job. but they will not tell you this of course. in some cases depending on the job you are going for if you are really qualified and make the requirements then there should not be a problem getting hired.

  3. yes. Because employer may not feel comfortable when giving you a task.

  4. YES! I never looked but I had to quit my job at 8 weeks due to sickness. I was so worried I would have to find another job later and be stressing out in pregnancy. People are very biassed. Unless you could get temp work I think no one wants to hire someone who is gonna leave (at least for a short time) in a few months. Also my boss told me that her workplace was told to try to fire her when she was pregnant as pregnant women were not dependable. That was a reputable company too. But the fact is its true. A large percentage of women have difficulties with pregnancy that make it hard/impossible for them to work. I am one of them... Thats just to be honest. But what can you do in this day and age? Even though I was so sick ppl still asked if ive 'quit yet' or 'when' i will be going back to work. Women have enough on their plate. With the liberation we have now we have been burdened with extra resposibilities and expected to do it all in my opinion.

  5. You know, it shouldn't be but the potential employers are looking at it like you are soon going to be on maternity leave. When I was about 5 months pregnant and I wasn't showing yet, I went for a job interview. This was the kind of job that paid pretty well, but had a very high turnover rate, so they pretty much hired anyone that wasn't on drugs. So at the interview, it went very well, the woman even showed me around the building, showed me the luch room and said "This is where you will be eating" and everything. Now i had to open my big mouth and tell her I was pregnant. Needless to say, I got a letter in the mail a week later saying I wasn't hired. Equal employment my ***, they do what they want.

  6. Yes.

I fell pregnant in February, and my husband and I had our own company which was ideal, however we were forced to close the business down and were forced to seek benefits. Part of the agreement was that we both had to look for work even if I was 5+ months pregnant. I am currently 29 weeks and still expected to seek employment, although I don't know what sort of establishment would hire me at this late stage but any way???

  7. I would think it would be if a potential employer knew you were pregnant.  However, it is illegal to discriminate against a woman who is pregnant.  You can read about it on the website for EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Comission).  I think that's what it's called.

  8. Yes.

  9. ive had one job since i was pregnant and i only had it for 5 days. i hope that helps.

  10. Usually yes it is depending on how far along you are and any complications you may have. I know plenty of woman that couldn't get hired while pregnant unless they were first trimester so they weren't showing.

  11. Generally Yes. You may be able to do transcribing and things that you can work out of your home doing.
