Is it hard making friends at schools in perth?

i am from uk and moving to perth in a few weeks and was jw what scholls at perth are like and arent there great beaches at perth too.

i thought it was hard at first, but im kind of shy. two years later and im doing ok.

just a bit of advice - don't go to a school called Ocean Reef SHS, if you can avoid it. they aren't that welcoming to English folk because we get people from England moving to this school all the time, which is no excuse, but thats how it is. Pretty harsh, but everywhere else is probably better for it.

The beaches are pretty much great everywhere as well. :)

No, you will do fine!  Just be open and friendly in all things.  Don't talk too much about what you left behind, much as you might be tempted to.  Good luck!

you should have little or no trouble as most people in Perth are quite friendly and depending on where you go you will probably not be the only one from the UK there.

Perth has the highest number of British expats in the country so you may be at school with a few others.

The beaches are great in Perth and have some of the whitest sand around. There is a very big beach culture in Perth but take care as the sun is very strong and you will need to take precautions.

Wear a hat, top and sunscreen (SPF 30+) all the time and sunglasses as well.

My favourite beach is Cottesloe but there are many others. If your lucky you may see Seals, Dolphins and occasionally Whale from the beach.

it really depends on what school your going to, but its not too different to every where else. just be nice and friendly and you'll be fine

and the beaches, theyre great but a bit cold this time of year
