  1. It depends what kind of adoption you're trying to do. It shouldn't affect your chances at all if you're going to do a U.S. adoption from foster care... in fact not having a man in the house can potentially be a PLUS for some of those children (if they were previously abused by a man).

I don't know if it's harder to adopt a baby as a single woman than as a couple but I do know that it is greatly simplified for anyone who is willing to adopt a child who is not an infant such as a toddler or school-aged child who would otherwise be in the foster system for life, left without the safety net of a family that most of us have in early adult life.  

    Consider taking on one or more of these children and you'll be not only a mom but a hero besides.

  3. Yes, its hard to adopt and expeically if your single and since you want a baby.
