I've always dreamed to be a computer scientist because of its parts inside the CPU. I know how to remove parts of it and to put it back again to its place. I'm now in sophomore stage. If one of you can tell me whether it's hard or not to be a computer scientist. Can anyone tell me what is the advantage and disadvantage? and what is more easier. COMPUTER SCIENTIST OR COMPUTER PROGRAMMER?

  1. First of all, ITS NOT CALLED A CPU!

Don't get into computers if you don't even know what a cpu is.

And to get into programming, learn a basic langauge like javascript, and then into c++.

  2. like hk80r said... its not CPU... but rather PC... think computer programmer much better than computer scientist... but learn basics like java, C++

  3. its the same way  of study just way of expertise

  4. A computer scientist is the general category. A computer programmer is a type of computer scientist that specializes in programming.

It is not that hard either way. That said, you should have a passion for whatever work you do. I love computers and programming is very cool! Think about it: you can tell the computer what to do all day long and it will never complain about it to you.

If you want to take computers apart and put them back together again as a career, then I believe that you would be a computer technician and I don't think that that requires a computer science degree. However, A+ certification is highly recommended.

    Good luck!
