  1. Being an archaeologist can be very involved, but I'm not sure I'd call it hard. Most careers are about as hard as you make them. I enjoy being an archaeologist, so I don't consider it hard work. It can be a lot of work, and it can be deep work, but those aren't bad things.

  2. I don't that it would be hard If you first had a relationship with GOD first. These people discover things that question life, time, existance...ect...

But if you first know why everything came into being, you eliminate half of the confusion.

  3. Yes. An archeologist travels everywhere. They hardly have time to see loved ones. Also, a lot of the money that they earn goes to plane tickets and supplies. It's very back breaking. My aunt is an archeologist. She had to get a doctorates and I only see her every three years.

  4. What do you mean?

Is it hard to get a job?

Is it physically hard to do the work?

    Is it intellectually hard?

    Help me out here.

  5. It can be a challenging occupation physically speaking.  I have a degree in anthropology and archeology, both bachelor's degrees.

I have been working as an archeology field technician for about one year, and yes, one can get physically exhausted from the long hours of digging, hiking through uneven terrain, crossing fence lines, running from the occassional bull, and working in inclement weather.

But I enjoy the job, even though it is hard.

To get the degree, requires study and dedication, just like anything else.

Will it be a field you want to go into?  That depends on you.
