Is it hard to be on a navy ship for long periods of time?

I'm like 90%sure I wanna join the Navy and I'm just wondering what its like.

-----I suspect the only way to find out what the Navy is like is to join it. I think the size and type of ship--submarine or carrier--makes a difference.  ---Jim

It depends on everything about you.  Your temperment, your discipline, your resolve, your dedication, and willingness to get along with others on a small, metal island for months.

If you are claustrophobic or get motion sickness, don't do it though.

If you can handle huge swells with a smile and a yahoo, then you'll do great.

And be a team player!
