  1. No, you just have to work really hard. My mom is a psychologist, and she is 38. She will finish getting her doctors degree next summer, which says that it takes a while. i is okay on money, but you really cant get anywhere in that field unless you are going to have your doctors degree. Just make goals, and try to follow them, that way you will be on a right path.

  2. It is not easy to become a Psychologist but it's not impossible, you just have to be willing to work hard. You will have to spend a lot of time (and money) in school. You will definitely need your masters and probably your Ph.D. You can't really do anything w/ just your bachelors' anymore. So you are looking at probably 6-10 additional years of school after HS (if not more). You do need to get good grades to get into a good school and stay in most Psychology programs. Psychology classes (esp. the upper level ones) involve a lot of research, paper writing, etc. The good thing about psychology is that there is tons of areas that you can get into. It sounds like you want to do Clinical counseling, but there is also Educational/School psych, Developmental Psych, Sports Psych, etc. Psychology is a great field to get into b/c you can really help people.
