  1. the only thing hard about that car is paying for the gas, but if you can afford it, its a nice ride.

  2. I had a 1983 Eldorado...oh man oh man I miss that car.  Its fun to drive and not bad at all...

It wont be much different driving it bc its a bigger car...youll get use to it fast...

    Good Luck :-)

  3. Big is nothing, really.  The dimensions don't enter into driving, unless you're totally incompetent.

More important is the mushy ride and 90%-on-the-front-wheels weight distribution of a 72 Eldorado.  It's one of the most understeering cars ever built, and the body shakes all over the place.  This car is going to handle so much worse than anything you've ever driven in your life.  You'll definitely need a little bit of time to get used to it.

P.S. A 1983 Eldorado handled much better than a 72.  I had a couple of those - nice cars. American tastes in handling had changed by then.

P.P.S. To answer your "extra" question, you will need to drive SLOW in turns.  The car has power, but you won't use it unless the road is dead straight.  The 72 Eldorado was not built for ANY kind of performance driving at all.

  4. I had a '70 Coupe deVille and I loved it. Wouldn't even fit in the garage until we torched off the trailer hitch and the hash marks from the door handles are still on the garage door frame.

Driving this car was fun. 472 Cubic inches leaves a lot of rubber when you put it down. I think your car will be 500 CID. These are cars are not hard to drive if you put the size of the car out of your mind. Most other traffic tends to stay out of your way.
