  1. If you don't have a work permit/Visa and you are from a non-EU country you are breaking the law. If you did want to stay here then go legal and get your Visa, if you work without one and get caught this won't help your application to stay in the UK at all. Saying all this, you probably will be able to get work in London, but as all reputable Employers are now throughly checking their staff for Visas the type of work you will get will be very low paid (at or below the National Minimum Wage), long hours and very hard work. And remember, as an illegal worker you don't have any rights. My advice is definately go legal, and if you can't then maybe you shouldn't even be in the UK.

  2. i wouldn't give you work anyway.

  3. Not if you dont mind labouring or washing up.

  4. depends where you're from and what you'd want to do.

I'm from Belgium and lived and worked in Ireland for a while without needing a work visa, simply because I'm a EU citizen. I did however get mostly the jobs no one else wants: fastfood jobs and factory work (but then, I did have little experience and no degree to qualify for anything else at the time.

If you aren't from the EU, I'd get a work visa if I were you - they do ask for it in most places!

    Jo

  5. If you want to work legally you need to be an EU citizen or to have a visa that allows you to work.
