i'm just wondering...

if anyone on here has ever worked there...

what kind of jobs arn't just seasonal?

hows the pay?

where do you usually live?

if the worker has a family, do they usuaally live outside or inside the park?

if you know the answers to some of these questions i would be so grateful!!

also, if you know of other parks (preferably with mountains) and their working situations let me know about those.

THANK YOU!

  1. Yellowstone is a tourist trap. Thus almost all the jobs are seasonal.

  2. There are year-round jobs at most of the resorts - and for actual park workers: However, there are is quite a bit of competition for these positions.  The best way to get a full-time position is to get a seasonal job and prove yourself - then start applying for year-round jobs.

The problem is that most of the park area closes down in the winter (due to the amount of snow - and fall off of tourists).  Heck, even most of the Rangers in the parks are only 10 month positions.

    Good luck!
