I'm 18 years old just finished high school and about to move to P.V in about a month. I would preferably want a job in a hotel, will it be hard to find one?

  1. If you are not a Mexican citizen than you will need an FM3 card which as Jessy said is near impossible to find an employer that wants to go thru the hassle for you.

You will make about $10 a day unless you have some type of exceptional skill which at 10 I doubt you do.

Plan on working some low paying jobs that will pay you cash under the table. Even these type of jobs will be hard to come by................

  2. Well are you a U.S. citizen or a Mexican citizen.  If you are a U.S. citizen you might as well forget it.  The job isn't what is hard to find...it's finding the people with the job who will go through all the trouble to get your permission to work that will be the hard part.  Do you already have a visa or are you trying to live in Mexico through a work visa?

  3. Do as I am doing right now...applyfor a FM3. It is an extended visa for folks wishing to stay up to 6 months without departure. I have to supply to the Mex consulate here the past couple months banks statements showing an income of at least $1000/mo. and a background check which I must obtain in our Hall of Justice. I also have receipts of utitlity bills in my name for the past 2 mos. if needed. Then I will have to verify/finalize in PV after arrival.
