  1. I don't think it's hard then. If you met each other in real life already twice and engaged. If she have a job or own property that can guaruntee her return to Thailand. Tourist visa isn't a problem. Check your country regulations for thai people going to ireland. If you are the one inviting her Most of the paper work must come from your side.

  2. honestly ur chances r slim holiday visas r the hardest ur girlfriend will have 2 own property or own a buisness the problem is the government think they won;t return ur best chance is either feoncay sorry about the spelling or settlement visa don't worry about ur girl not liking it here she will love it here is a number u can use 0066810045397 that is 4 darren from key visa soi lk metro pattaya good luck if u do call tell him scouse john said hello

  3. I was just wondering why you need to tell people you didn't meet on the net or a bar? TMI

  4. I have not done  visa from Ireland but from UK, here are some of the details they looked for and I am sure it will be similar and you cannot be too prepared.

Photos together, with your friends, also, Bank details so you can keep her if she falls sick, bank details of your partner, letters or emails, telephone bills, passport details have you traveled to another country together and came back eg Singapore or KL. Hotels bills receipts. Will she get insurance during her trip.

Does she have a job, a house, kids, family etc.

Where will you stay in Ireland does your friend stay in Thailand or Ireland maybe he can write a letter looking forward to seeing you again.

You have to write a letter of invitation asking her to come.

Be away in UK the first time they ask sometimes for an interview so if this happens in Ireland you may have to apply sooner rather than later.

  5. There will be three things you need:

    1) Evidence

    2) Evidence

    3) More evidence

Apart from that it really depends on your g/fs and your circumstances.

You need to keep every email, photo, letter possible. Also evidence of your trips to Thailand and of your engagement if possible - yes this is for the TOURIST visa. You will also need to provide financial evidence.

A lot depends on your fiance too. She will need to attend the interview and send in the application forms. If she has a good job and has kept good records e.g. bank statements and doesn't fluff the interview she will be OK. She might fail on the first attempt but you can try again for a tourist visa. I actually think getting the tourist visa first like you are doing is a good plan. Getting a fiance visa will then be much easier - almost a triviality. If your g/f doesn't have a proper job - with records - she will be unlikely to get a visa. Also, if you can't provide evidence of money to support her during her stay it will be harder.

Having said that I only know the UK visa system well - not the one in Ireland - but the priciples will be similar I would expect.
