you don't do any outside school/extra curricular activities?

because i don't do any whatsoever! All i do is go to school, do my subjects and that's it! Will this put me at a disadvantage when it comes to applying for university? Will they be less likely to want to accept me?

I desperately want to get into the university of east anglia and do the nursing course but what are the chances of being accepted as you have to go through the huge process of an interview, and that's only if you're called back!! It's all so confusing!

Sorry this question is quite confusing too but please help me!

I just want you to give me a rough idea of the chances i have of being accepted into the uni of my choice? even though i have no work experience or do no extra curricular activities but i do have the right qualifications............

thank you xxxxxxxxx

  1. It doesn't make a whole lot of diffrence, they do look for that kind of stuff. Chances are though if you have good grades the choice is yours on where you go.

  2. Perhaps I am not the most qualified to answer your question as i am in the states rather than being in Europe.  Here the chances are good depending on your grades, your test scores (standardized tests ie. ACT or SAT) and your interview.  While applying for undergraduate work it is rather easy to get accepted at just about any university when you apply for a particular course of study like nursing it is a bit harder.  Here your extra curricular activities are really only looked at if you are applying for one of the more elite schools (ie Harvard or any IVY league school)

    Good Luck

  3. It's not essential that you spend all of your time doing other activities, they just like to see that you're a well rounded individual with outside interests.

Remember that they basically want you to sell yourself to them, why would they want to teach you and what will you add to their university? Having just written my personal statement for my university application I'd say that you might want to find an activity, even if it's just a college club or something, because otherwise you'll struggle to find stuff to fill your personal statement.

  4. Different schools want to see different things.  Call an admissions officer at the school you want to go to and ask them.  You don't have to identify yourself.
