  1. Not hard, just takes time, since they are slow growers.  I have one that gets about 5 figs each year.  It grows a few inches each year.

  2. i thought figs came in a bag labeled fig newton

  3. no its not hard 2 grow a fig tree cuz we got one

  4. We have two in our back yard.  The one tree had about 100 figs but then it got hit by frost.  But it came back the next year.  They bear fruit twice a year.  My husband eats them as soon as they get ripe.  But I am like the other people who said I prefer mine between two little cookies.  BTW. We are in Georgia. Trees grow good here.  But the deer and squirrels eat a lot of the fruit.

  5. I have one in my yard that I ignore most of the time and it does great. The frost killed everything above the ground. It came back fine and is now about 6 feet tall. I just water it with the rest of my garden. Fresh figs a great snack or dessert with a little cheese and wine.

  6. No they are easy to grow, but they do take up quite a bit of room.Figs grow in the desert,so they can grow in poor soil.Do not need fertilizer, and very little water. There are quite a few varieties now,so check with your local garden center for your zone.

  7. Growing the bush is not hard at all.   It just takes a few years for the bush to get to a good bearing size.

Producing figs is another story.  Whether you have a good year or bad depends on the weather (moisture and temperature)  I've had years that the bush did great, and others that they produced small figs, but the figs never grew and ripened.  they eventually fell off the branches.

They are so good, it's worth going through the good years and bad years!
