  1. Find out what it is that they do at Atlanti. They may conduct just a one day experience or maybe the full certification.

If you want to get ahead (and they are a PADI centre) then you can go to www.padi.com and complete the theory section online (click on e-learning).

It is not rocket science, your instructor will ensure that you understand.

  2. Scuba excursions are a one day "quickie" training in the bare basics. They usually take you to a fairly shallow (30 feet or less) area for you to try out.

Like anything, it seems hard at first with so much to remember, but it gets easier the more you do it. I would recommend getting certified BEFORE you go, that way you can actually enjoy it.

I'm not a fan of the "one day" scuba resort trips - there's a lot of equipment stuff they throw at you, and they're usually teaching 20 people at once, and usually in a very short period of time.

    D.

  3. There's not much to it really. The most important thing you need to remember to do is to relieve the pressure from your ears by holding your nose and blowing out your nose. My instructor told us to do it every 10 feet. Good luck! It's fun!
