  1. No, not at all. Start browsing freely and gradually you will get to know how stuff works on net

  2. i didnt find it difficult to learn how to surf,

but i did think it was challenging at first.

see what makes it hard is what your doing

on the board. If your all the way at

either end of the board it will be "VERY DIFFICULT" ...

there is usally a line that runs from the

bottom to the top of the board.

that is your guid line, that lets you know were to put your feet.

i think that if you wana actually learn how to  surf , the best way is to take it step-by-step

first, start on your stumic .

that lets you get a feel for the wave.

second, move to your knees parallel with the board.that gets you ready for actualy ridng a wave.

third, with both hands on each side of the board push up, kick your front foot up left/right "depending on what you are".

place it in between your arms .

then follow up with your cack foot between the fin bolts

"black dot at the back of the board"

    lol:

and roll with the wave keeping your body low and centered.

    "practice on the white water"...

also hop on the board about a second before you think the wave is guna hit you,

it lets you set up for the wave...

that means that you wont be caught off guard<<

    hope i helped.

  3. not hard... but it uses a lot of the muscles that you don't normally use, so it'll take some hard work for beginners. I would recommend learning with a long board first, it's easier to balance than a short board. Have fun and don't give up! It's really a lot of fun once you get the hang of it!!! :)

  4. Bella, learning to surf is not easy, that is without effort, but like Ernie said, it is so much fun, you really won't mind. Squidhead has a great link on how to learn to surf in one day, but it's not quite that simple.

Lots of people can surf, a LITTLE, but I question whether or not they really enjoy or appreciate. These are usually the folks who get in the way of people who are really trying to surf their best, or the people who have to get rescued, because they don't have any water skills. It is really different from other 'board' sports, like skateboarding or snowboarding. You not only need the balance and coordination to ride, but you have to be able to paddle out through the surf, and then take off (paddle and catch a wave) before you ride.

It takes some time, and effort (it is an athletic activity) and commitment, but it is REALLY worth it.

I don't know if you live where there is an ocean beach, but if you do, get comfortable in the ocean; swim, body surf, boogie board. Then get some lessons, a local surf shop can help you find and instructor, and even rent you a board to learn on. I have been surfing for 42 years, and it is the greatest stoke of all. If you live near the ocean, go for it, you'll never regret it.

  5. Surfing isn't that hard, all you got to do is believe in yourself that you can do it!  God Bless You!

  6. no it is not at all

just paddling out takes alot of muscle

  7. if you no how to skateboard snowboard ski or anything like that its not hard at all then

  8. nar if u can sk8 board or snowboard u'll pick it up no problem

  9. I'm not going to lie to you - yes, it's hard!

But it's not impossible and it's one of the funnest and most enjoyable things you'll ever do. :-)

You need good balance and you need some upper body strength.

I recommend push ups to build your chest muscles so you can push yourself up to stand, and lat pull-down or chin-ups so you build you lats, (the muscles along your sides that you need for paddling).

Also, here's a great article called "Learn How to Surf in 1 Day" that I always recommend to beginners:

    Good luck and have fun!!

  10. no but it requires passion and commitment but don't do it by the book join a club or something you make new friends and you become passionate about surfing don't be afraid to take risks and love every minute of it to start with go to a day lesson they cost around £15-£20 and they are really useful. it takes you through catching waves and pop ups and you have fun at the same time. check out rip curl surfing for girls clubs that supply boards rash vests boots and wetsuits you get a yoga lesson before and after to prevent the shock of using the muscles you didn't know you had! and you get a goody bag worth £20 I went and it was really fun if you decide you like it then get into surfing.

    good luck

  11. it takes time, but you'll be having so much fun that you won't care; it takes commitment aswell, so make sure you can surf whenever possible.
