Is it hard to make money on Ebay?

All you need is a good product, nice sales letter, competitive pricing and good payment and shipping option.

I personally find it easier to use the free sites, like craigslist or hoobly, no shipping and fees and such.

If you do sell on ebay, remember the fees that are going to come out of your item.  I usually put the fees and any other expenses to the item price I am going to sell on ebay.  Offer actual shipping.  So if it s a lets say you paid 10 for the item and its a 40 item, ebay is going to charge a couple bucks or so to sell it at a minimum, and its going to cost you a couple bucks in gas, so start the price @ at least 14.00 and then only the actual shipping cost. Over charging for shipping is a turn off and also against ebay policies.

Get a good scale to weigh your items, and you can order free boxes and labels and other items from USPS.com

Last but not least give an accurate description of your item and show pictures of it.

Ebay is EVIL!! LOL I buy and sell all the time. for me it is easy but for someone just starting out on a pc and are not familliar with how the basic internet works it would be hard for them.

It can be, it depends on what you sell.

you have to have a separate bank account to deduct all of the Fees they charge you. NEVER use your regular checking account, because a friend of mine had his account frozen by ebay because a purchase launched a negative mark/ complaint about him. until a problem is cleared up.

This prevented him from getting his money to pay bills etc.

Try selling on Craigslist for free first.
