  1. Sorry to say that as an American trying to move here to the UK you would find it incredibly hard to do so unless you have a lot of money to invest, or a skill that is in high demand, or are being transferred by an American company with branches in the UK.  This is because of  EU and Commonwealth citizens taking  precedence over any jobs going.  We would have the same problem trying to find work in the US, in fact your government have now said that we must give at least 72 hours notice that we wish to visit the US which totally wipes out people taking last minute breaks to the States.

  2. How old are you? Have you spent time in the UK? What do you want to do there? Have you ever heard the expression "the grass always looks greener on the other side of the hill"?

  3. I moved to Norwich in the UK two years ago from Michigan.  Its hard work, but you can do it.  The paperwork takes a while, you'll need a visa.  I came on a fiancee visa, since I was engaged to a Brit.  The visa will probably cost around $500, depending on the type.  There are several different types of visa, so you'll need one that permits you to work.  Moving your stuff is pretty difficult.  I purged my stuff, and only took the stuff I really needed.  But still, I had to pay excess baggage on British Airways and spend probably $500 on shipping the other things.

Think long and hard before you do it.  Things are completely different here.  Thats not to say that I don't love it though.  I'd visit a few times to see if you like it.

  4. Ever tried leaving the country? Well I haven't, but I heard that is sucks in these times.

Moving with all of your belongings in tow as well? Now that's tough. So I'll say that it will take some work no matter where you go.

But then you have to learn their form of English which different than ours... eh? :)

  5. i think it would depend alot on your financial situation at the time being
