  1. Well... not really. Each time you will play better and better and make it to the top.

  2. Well, yes and no. its easier learning older than younger, and u can just hit the ball, if course. BUT, it takes Quite a bit of time to learn all the right technique and be Good. Ive been playing since i was 5 and am 13

  3. its harder than it looks

if ur a beginner u will most likely hit a lot of balls out

u have to learn how to hold ur racquet

  4. Yes , Just go and hit with an experienced player and you'll get better as you practice.

  5. it depends on your coordnation *?*

all you need to do at first to have good hand eye coordination and you should be able to hit the ball but if your coordination is bad, then yes it will be very hard

to add on to that, tennis requires a LOT of skill and practice so for a beginner, it takes a lot of work

but then again--everyone was a beginner at first--even Maria Sharapova and Federer :)

    Good luck!

  6. it might be hard when you start out. but with any sport the more you practice the easier it will become. tennis is one of those sports that you have to put a lot into, and it will require you to develop quite a few skills. you have to work on your hand-eye coordination and you have to learn to control the ball, especially when you serve, you have to work hard to control it so that it's in the box.

if you're playing singles and doubles then you'll have to match the control to which one you're playing. if you're playing singles you get less space to hit it in. and if you're playing doubles you'll have a little more space. my problem when i was starting out was hitting it past the singles line, and into the doubles area because you have to control the ball differently.

  7. It all depends on the player. It's definitely possible to become good very quickly. I had a friend who took the number one singles spot on our JV team after only three months of playing.

You just have to keep practicing as much as possible, even though you WILL hit a lot of balls out or into the net. Get instruction if possible.

Also, when you're starting out, remember to think about how you're hitting the ball logically. I taught tennis to (young) beginners over the summer, and most of the problems I noticed could be easily fixed with instruction and practice. If your ball is:

Bouncing before the net - Where on the neck are you holding the racket? Make sure to grip is near the bottom, so you have enough power to get it over the net.

Going in pretty much any direction except where it should - Where are your racket strings facing when you hit the ball? You should be making contact in front of you (lay your wrist back), with the strings perpendicular to the ground and facing where you want to place the ball.

    Hope I could help!
