I already have the door panel off... do I need to use epoxy remover, or will there be bolts? Will I need special tools? Is this an easy job? How long does it take?

Thank you for your time.

  1. It's usually not that hard.  I haven't worked on a '96 Intrepid, but the other cars I worked on were easy enough.  You lower the window down until you can reach the bolts or clips that fasten the glass to the regulator.  Remove the fasteners, push the power window button to lower the regulator down out of the way , then ease the glass out through the window opening.  I usually tip the front edge of the glass down further into the door, and work the wider end out first.  If the window regulator or motor is broken, then you'll have take out the regulator first.  Just be careful not to let the glass fall down into the door and break it.

  2. its not that easy of a job if you have never done it before,if your just replacing a glass you can unbolt it,from the regulator on it,unless you know how to do it,,you,ll need a repair manual to help you with on this one because theres one certain way that glass will come out through the opening, good luck.
