Is it hard to sell stuff on ebay?

Its not really hard - it just takes a little time. You have to take pictures of your stuff.  Upload the picts to ebay and write descriptions of it.  I think ebay helps with the money collection especially if you accept paypal

It is very easy and safe to do.  Just look around your house and list a few things on eBay so that you can see just how easy it is.  I found that the hardest part for me was figuring out what to charge people for shipping and actually shipping it.

If you plan on doing a lot of selling, I highly recommend that you buy a postal meter and buy shipping materials in bulk.

Also, most people now use PayPal to pay for their purchases on eBay which means the money goes straight into your PayPal account.  The fees that eBay and PayPal charge do take a chunk out of your profit though.

It is not hard, but there are a lot of things necessary.

1. You should start by buying things on ebay so that you can start to build up a Feedback score. People are not comfortable with buying things from people with low Feedback scores.

2. You first need to set up a Paypal Personal account, which enables you to buy things on ebay; this is free.

3. To sell on ebay, you need a paypal business account, which is free, but they will charge you to take credit card payments, which you can only do with a Business account.

4. Look at other auctions for things you want to sell to get ideas of how to organize your auction information.

5. After your auction closes, you will be paid and you can transfer that $ to your bank acct.

4. Always know your shipping rates by using the shipping rate calculator at USPS.com.

5. Learn how to describe your item in nicely organized bullet points, and not just in one giant paragraph. When I see giant paragraphs, I don't even want to go through it all to find the valuable info.
