We are traveling a short distance (from dc to nyc) and they do not allow dogs. I know they are not as strict with security as airlines are, so I wonder if its easy to sneak a dog on board. I have a small yorkie so hes able to fit in a bag. I reserved a bedroom with privacy so they wont see him. What are your thoughts?

  1. It might be possible.. but kind of risky don't you think?

    What if someone is allergic?

    What about taking a bus?

  2. if this is your only way to get him home with you, then I suppose you must. give him a sedative and stick him in your bag until you're in your room, I suppose.

  3. Dogs bark, dogs whine, dogs need to potty..  people have allergies.  If they discover the dog, they can make you get off at the next stop.  If the dog is discovered before you board, they can deny you from coming aboard, unless you leave the dog behind.

You cant sneak a dog on the train.  They dont allow dogs for a reason.  If you need to take your dog with you, then find travel arrangements that allow dogs.
