  1. Perhaps you want to look into aerospace. It's okay to be ambitious as long as you are driven and work hard at it.

  2. Is it hard to double major? No, not unless you were planning on taking a bunch of easy electives.

  3. It is totally possible. Though the engineering classes will be taxing the biology may come somewhat easy. You might even find a school that has a requirement for a duo major to make it much easier. I go to a college that requires you to have 150 credits to obtain a dual degree! Depends on the school and the willingness of the faculty to help you! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

  4. It's hard, but it's possible.

Usually people choose a major and minor that are somewhat related....

However, due to the difficulties in your major (astronaut), NASA probably don't want someone to be a 2nd rated astronaut (although he might know multi subjects)  That's why they have a man for each task (ie, engineer, pilot, mission specialists, etc...)  it's not that each man does not know how to do the job of the other.

There are many fields in engineering.  Depending what specifically you'd like to do, I can't tell you if mechanical engineering is the one.  It's like a HS students asking if being a BMW mechanics is the right choice...

you need to know what area specifically inorder to make that call.  Until you make that decision, follow your heart.

    good luck
