Is it hard to sue someone for slander/harassment?

the messages are not that bad, just excessive... how hard would it be to sue?

yeah its very hard to win either ... especially slander ... in todays world its pretty d**n hard to win a slander case . harrasment it depends on how far the person has gone and how much proof you have of them doing  such as a recorded phone call or an email or what not

Slander is very hard to prove - it involves proving that the defendant actually intended to say bad things about you in order to hurt you, and not for other reasons.  It also means having to prove that what that person said wasnt true.  It's all an ugly business, and unless the slander is SO bad I wouldn't bother.  Libel is the printed kind, slander is speech.

The better option might be criminal action - is it harassment?  You can call the cops and see if they think it meets the criminal definition.

it would be super easy to sue them... winning the case is another story.

If I could sue for slander alot of people would be sued by now, and I be very rich, or they be in jail for a long time.....

The first answerer is right, it is easy to sue but hard to win the case.

You would need a lot of statements and witnesses to prove that the alleged slander and harassment caused damages, and prove the damages as well.
