Is it hard to transfer from a California community college to UCLA without the Transfer Alliance Program?

  1. I actually just joined the program today at my cc. From what the counselor told me, the tap transfers around 90 percent to UCLA(i kinda doubt dat) , and the non tap transfers only get accepted around 40 percent of the time. Now you have to also consider the fact that the non tap transfers probably didn't qualify for the tap program because of their gpa. So how much of a role does TAP alone play in transferring? Who knows.  The UC's probably give priority to the TAP applicants. If ur eligible, I say u join. Each cc has their own eligibility rules.

    As far as cal states are concerned, the counselor said that it TAP doesn't play any significant role in transfering to a cal state. Y would anyone eligible to transfer to a UC go to a cal state anyway? lol. GOOD LUCK
