  1. Its not that drastic, in my point of view. The only difference is Montreal is not all but a lot french. The West Island ismore english. And also, Winters can be a little harsh so pack a winter jacket. There's a lot of nice history in Montreal and you'll really enjoy it there. As for Onterio, I dunno, I don't live there, lol.

    Hope this helped!

  2. Good for you!

I went to another country, with another language, for university and learned a lot. If you spend some time in Canada you will experience a very different view of the world. You won't have a problem fitting in, in either place as Canada is a much more open society.

You can go to university in English in Montreal but it would also be a wonderful opportunity to learn good French.

Montreal is much more "liveable" than Toronto.

Getting a student visa is not a problem but if you want to work there, you have to go through a longer immigration check.

  3. The climate should be a lot colder in the winter and fairly hot and humid in the summers.  Would you fit in? Well that is a depends type of question in so much as what type of group are you trying to fit in with MOST but not all Canadians are welcoming people and most likely you will take (hopefully) some good natured ribbing about being from California and having Arnold as the Govern-ator.  Would it be a drastic change yes it would because you would presumably be away from your family and in a foreign country where theys are similar but not quite everything would seem just a little strange.
