  1. The board for windsurfing is radically different from a surf board. A surf board only has a pad in the back for the feet, a Windsurf board has four foot straps in the back, two on each side, then there is a hole in the middle of the board for the mast, which is connected to the boom. Also the Windsurf board is thicker than a surf board is and a surf board my have three fins in the bottom back, but a windsurf board has one long single fin in the bottom back.

  2. why would you do that?  windsurfing is LAME

  3. yes, they are too completely different things and both are made of completely different materials. How much would you sell the longboard for?

  4. Okay, let's get some things straight right from the start. What kind of "old long board" do you have. How "old" is it, and what condition is it in. I might want to buy it before you start cutting it up.

The hydrodynamics of of surfboards and windsurfers are completely different. Windsurfers are designed to be pushed by the wind with force exerted on a mast, and then transferred from the mast to the board. Surfboards don't have the structural integrity to do that, even if you could mount a mast on one (but highly unlikely). You could "surf" on a windsurfer, just like you can "surf" on a kayak, or a surf-boat of for that matter, an inner tube, but therein the similarity ends.
