Hello Amber. Either one would be equally difficult unless you are moderately thin and very dextrous. The main reason we cuff with hands behind the back is to prevent the person from having a hammer type weapon in front of him if he were cuffed in front. He would only have to put his hands together and use them as a bludgeon.
