  1. Nope not at all.

  2. It will not be a problem.  Colleges (including the top schools in the nation) recruit homeschoolers.

Homeschool students often begin taking community college courses between the ages of 14 to 18.  In this manner, they enter college with credits under their belts, and prove that they are perfectly capable of college level work.

Be sure you have a transcript of your studies, and be sure to cover the subjects required by the colleges of your choice.  See this link for more info: http://www.homeschool.com/articles/Colle...

  3. Colledges actually LOOK for homeschoolers because they tend to be smarter than Public or Private schooled kids.

  4. Why would you say that?  There is nothing wrong with homeschool, I think that colleges would like you better if you were homeschool, because you might be smarter then the kids that went to Public school.

  5. Nope. Most universities, even Ivy League schools are usually quite impressed with homeschooling and actively recruit homeschoolers.

  6. I'm homeschooled, and I go into NYU and UPenn.

  7. Academic diplomas look better to colleges. Figure out what college you want to attend and call the school counselor to find out more.

  8. No.  The only "harder" part, which is relative, is keeping a transcript and portfolio yourself (with your parents' help).

You should have no trouble with ACT/SAT scores, a transcript, a portfolio, and possibly an interview with an admissions officer at the college/university you wish to attend.

You can get a jump start on college courses by taking community college courses while you're still in high school for "dual credit".  Then you can enter full time college with several credits under your belt.

Colleges actively seek HS'ed students because they actually know how to learn on their own and work hard.
