  1. I have always found it easier.

    In the summer most people you meet are on a short holiday, a few weeks at most. And many of those are Europeans.

    Outside the summer most people using the hostels are fellow backpackers.

    People who travel for the traveling.

    Any time of year there are many others also traveling, backpacking in Europe.
