  1. duh! omg wat r u srupid?

  2. I would assume it would be pretty harmful. I wouldn't do it.

  3. Ask a vet first

  4. PLEASE PLEASE DONT DO IT!

    YOUR ANIMAL CAN l**k THEMSELVES

GET SICK AND MAYBE DIE! DONT DO IT

IF YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT UR ANIMAL!

  5. Yes, I wouldn't dye a rodent just because you would get enjoyment out of it.

  6. DONT EVEN TRY TO. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES A DAY A HAMSTER WOULD CLEAN THEMSELF.  YOU COULD KILL THEM. THE DYE TO THEM IS LIKE l*****g POSION THAT KILLS YOU SO SLOW THAT EVERY SECOND IS AGINIZING PAIN AND YOU WILL DIE IN FIVE HOURS. DONT TRY IT  >:O

  7. Generally, yes.  Most dyes can either hurt their skin, or when they groom themselves and ingest it, can make them sick.

There are safer ways to dye fur (Typically, beet juice is used to get poodles pink, btw.  Blueberry juice for purple/blue) as juice will stain but is unlikely to do much to make the animal sick.

But I guess you have to think, is it really worth a few giggles to stress your rodent out in dying/bathing him?

  8. Yeah thats bad... though if you do don't use any chemicals, use something more harmless like cherry punch.

  9. I wouldn't recommend ever dying any animal's fur.  They can l**k it and ingest poisons.

  10. It's irresponsible.  Have some respect for the poor animal and don't do it either way. Animals should never be used as fashion statements, those that do don't deserve to have them.

  11. Much like dogs dying can be done but with risks. Even dyeing dogs in a wager and something you must take immense caution doing. After all you aren't dying a tiny patch of hair (like our head) you are covering the animal's entire body. I can however give you a much safer solution than using any type of real dyes,

As to how to do it, I can tell you simply because I know someone who does this for a living:

Use food coloring, NOT actual dye.Mix the food coloring with fresh, room temperature water, then put the little guy in the colored water. Saturate him/her in the water but take caution not to get any in the eyes. Layout many towels and take your buddy out to dry.

  12. Yeah it is bad!

  13. DUH

  14. Not only is it harmful but if you are caught with it by the humane society it is illegal... Someone did it with baby chickens

  15. They have fur just like we have fur on our heads and genitals. Just as dyes can harm us with certain chemicals, they can harm animals. Something non-toxic may be a good pick because of their small size compared to large relative application area. Whatever you do, make sure the dye keeps out of contact from all orifices!

Kool-Aid may be a good choice. It's relatively non-toxic, and if punk kids can be believed, darn effective and with good staying power.

  16. they l**k themselves a lot, so you have to be careful with it

  17. They have special dyes for the poodles.  It is not reccommened to dye your pets hair.  It can harm them. (burn their skin, make their hair fall out)
