Is it harmful to refill a water bottle ?

e.g. one of those "disposable" bottles that you buy water in.

Is it safe to refill the bottle ? and if so how many times can you refill ?

I heard that when you refill a bottle, some of the chemicals from the plastic wash off, and you end up drinking them. Better get reusable canteens!

No, it's not harmful to refil a water bottle. I refil mine as much as I want. Water will expire sooner or later in a plastic bottle, but this will happen after a few months.

it is safe to refill it as many times as you want as long as the bottle never gets too hot.

If the bottle gets too hot, some of the toxins and carcinogens from the plastic can get into the water and if this happens over a long period of time, there is a possibility of cancer.

you can refill them but not to much,  because the plastic eventually ware away and little plastic particles will be in your water.

I refill them until they either break or get lost! Never done me or my kids any harm :o)

I do not think it's harmful to refill your water bottle, but you shouldn't use one bottle only; after a while, you should get a new one.
