Is it hazardous to health to use a pan with disintegrating teflon?

ya know... when your pan starts getting patches of teflon/nonstick coating falling off.

  1. No really.  Teflon is pretty inert of a material at room and body temperature.  If you digest it, typically it would just pass through you.


  2. Ive heard you are supposed to throw your pan away when it starts to get bad like that cause i think it can cause cancer.

  3. Blah, it wont harm you in small amounts. Your stomach wont digest it so it will pass right throuh you.

    Next time you buy, spend a few bucks on a better one. You always pat yourself on the back for buying quality.
