My leos are quite young about 2 months, they are being fed just on meal worms.

Is it okay that they go once or maybe even twice a day?

Thanks.

  1. Yes, that is normal.  Also consider feeding a variety of small insects, such as small crickets, phoenix worms, and occasionally waworms.  The more variety the better!  :)

  2. yep my adults go more than once a day but they eat me out of house and home

  3. As long as they go it is fine. But you need to get some pinhead crickets to feed them not just mealworms. When they go it should be brown with a white tip.

  4. My leo goes once per day since we got him as a baby, he is 2 and a half now :)

If you are only feeding mealworms, make 100% sure that you gutload them well on vegs etc.

Variety is always nice - waxworms are a tastey treat, turn into tastey moths and are easy to keep. Only a couple per week though!

  5. Yes its normal because of what your feeding them.Meal worms are all guts inside and nothing solid to them. Its like you eating oranges every day, you'd be going all the time aswell. They do need a bit more of a varied diet at this age so try feeding some black crickets aswell

  6. YES!! My sisters Leo poops about three times a day, and eats crickets. Leo is 5 yrs old, and holdable.
