  1. yes

Secular interest groups go against God most of the time

Such as its ok to kill babies if you do not want one.

  2. If you mean only church services etc. ...no, probably not emotionally healthy. It is like being all work and no play or something similar. However, many churches or individuals within the church offer many other things that are not spiritually related, such as playing on a ball team or basketball team, getting together for a camping/fishing trip, barbeques, watching ball games on TV, watching movies together etc. These things are outside of the church influence but still allow the person to remain with those people that are not going to be persecuting them for their beliefs. We get enough of that out in the secular world. Fellowship with other Christians is what we need to "forget" about the secular world and to heal from our wounds.

  3. Sure, why not?

Joh 2:17  And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

  4. It's healthy to belong to any group.  Just get off your behind, turn off the TV, and go socialize.   Religion groups or otherwise, it's all good.

  5. I think it's up to the individual as long as they are adult.

I think it's not a good idea to involve children purely in church activities; they are too young to form an opinion on religion and should also be socialising with children from different backgrounds.

  6. well if you like soccer most churches dont have a team, you will have to join a school team. wlil you be subject to things that you would normally not want to be, as a church going person. probably. but christians are told to go into the world but not be of the world. go out and spread christ message through example and love. have to leave the church sometimes to tell  those who do not know. christ spent most of his time outside of churches, and in streets. he didnt have priest as his followers but tax collecters and fishermen. hope that gives you things to think about.

  7. it all depends on your motives/intentions/reasons

  8. Being involved in both sacred and secular activities makes for a better rounded person, IMHO.

  9. Is it healthy, probably not. But I know of a lot of believers who only will allow themselves and their children to be involved in things that have "christian values". We never believed that or lived that way. We have friends of all backgrounds and religious beliefs and don't limit ourselves within Christianity. In order to be in the lives of other people and be a light, you have to get some involvement in things outside of the walls of the church. But we never looked at it as a bad thing to get involved in other things. On the contrary, many friends where made and lives have been changed by loving people right where they are at.

  10. It's not healthy to limit your involvement to just one or two activities within your own set of beliefs. A truly well-rounded individual surrounds himself with people and educational opportunities from all cultures, religions, etc. It's really the only way to learn what the other party believes.

  11. Healthy is good food, good air, good exercise, good water, not exposing yourself to disease. it has nothing to do with belief, only reality.

  12. I think people should be well rounded in the activities they participate in.  Sports, work functions, and activities out of church are very important.  But I also think that when you choose to be in an activity outside of church, your Christian lifestyle should carry through.  As a Christian I think that we should work hard at being a Christian shortstop, a Christian PTA parent, a Christian "Pampered Chef" consultant. Know what I mean?

  13. It depends on the person. There's nothing wrong with being a cheerleader or a football player and there's nothing wrong with being the drum player or in the choir.

  14. It's never mentally healthy to be involved in any kind of religious nonsense.

  15. I think its fine if thats what the person wants to do.
