Is it healthy to think about death's inevitability?

I recently started taking the class, "Understanding Death and Dying," and it seems to be very healthy to get in touch with the reality of death. It can often help people lead lives they otherwise never would have experienced. What do you think?

  1. It's very healthy to come to terms with your mortality.  Living in fear of death does prevent you from doing things that could change your life for the better! Of course, obsessing about the inevitability of death is NOT healthy.  Don't go planning your funeral 50 years in advance.

  2. I think it is healthy and it will help you and others enjoy life a little bit more. There is no use to be in denial....its inevitable.

  3. I dont find it to be healthy or unhealthy. Its one of those questions that wont be answered until we experience it. I actually think its a great idea for people to contemplate it. It may open some eyes.

  4. For me I would rather not think about it till it happens. Living in denial works for me. The only other alternative I think is religion, it may be false, but at least it gives you solace.
