Is it ileagle to double buckle in a car?

i want to go to cannada with my cousins and they have a 5 seated car and we would be 6. so i want to know if me and my sister can double buckle. ty for ur help. also they olny have 1 car here! ty 4 helping =D

  1. You cannot legally ride in any vehicle without a seatbelt. There should NEVER be more people in the car than there are seatbelts.

    Seatbelts are designed for ONE person...child or adult...not two of any combination. DO NOT "double buckle" a seatbelt. It is dangerous, illegal and completely, totally idiotic.

    It looks like someone will have to fly or just stay home.

    Each person must have their own seat and seatbelt.

  4. No...I don't believe you can do that. You would need a vehicle that seats 6 people...one person per seat...with their own seatbelt.

    I would say...just find a way to rent a vehicle or borrow one...that has the capacity for 6 people....that way...you're covered.

    Why take a chance like that?....besides the fact that...it's not legal?
