  1. If your in a house with a legal parent or guardian then its fine.

But its not ok in bars, and its illegal to drink or even be drunk in a public street (I know we all do it anyway)

    Just remember this advise:

    Regret nothing, deny everything"

    xD

  2. Yes. It can result in a whopping amount of trouble for the parents.

  3. Depends on the state. I've heard that if you're with your parents in Wisconsin, you can have a drink at a restaurant.

  4. uhh yea duh

  5. Yep.

But if you must drink, drink within your own home with your parent's, (if they allow that).  The police arent going to come into your house to arrest you.

  6. 30 states allow you to drink in your own home if your parents are present and consenting. Drinking outside your home is not allowed.

  7. yeah its a illegal! but you'll be fine unless your parents get cought letting you drink..then they'll go to jail lol.

  8. Absolutely not!!  Your parent or legal guardian can go to jail for this.  Please you should not be drinking!!!!!!!!!!

  9. haha yeah but that **** happens all the time anyways so i think its fine if its within the privacy of your own home

  10. not in CA if youre at home with your parents. not sure about other states though.

  11. If its ok with your parents, and its 3 ounces or less.

  12. Depends on the laws of the state, but usually not - for example, may not be able to enter a bar.   In some states it is legal for a parent to serve wine or beer to their children at meals, but not to any of their same age child guests without parent present.

  13. do not listen to all these people. when you are IN YOUR HOUSE you are allowed. at least here in nj you are. and you can not go outside until your sober.

  14. Most people missed the answer.  Look, it's not a question of can an adult give alcohol to a minor.  That's certainly a no, for random adults and random minors.  However, there are exceptions in most states.  There are states which allow parents to give alcohol to their minor child in their household.  It's as simple as that, a parent to a child INSIDE THE PARENT'S HOUSE.  It does not extend elsewhere (except for WI, which does allow parents to buy for their minor child in restaurants), and it does not extend to your friend's parents giving you, as a minor, alcohol.

Depending on your state -- check the link Mayor West gave, it's a government site -- there is probably no drinking age at all.  It's sort of a myth there is a drinking age.  We have a purchase, possession, and transport age.  That age is 21.  This is why people under 21 are not allowed to buy alcohol, or drive a car with alcohol.  Technically they are not allowed to hold it, or carry it to a register in a liquor store (it isn't illegal for a minor to enter a liquor store, just illegal for them to touch, pick up, or point to anything alcoholic).  I'm in MA, and it has one of the more relaxed alcohol laws around (except for NV, which is ridiculously relaxed -- sales 24 hours a day, and drinking in public is fine).  We have no consumption age, which makes means that drinking under the age of 21 is not illegal, we have an exception to allow minors to drink in their parents household with their parents consent, we have an exception to allow minors to drink at a family reunion or a wedding reception (this extends to ones at reception halls, not just backyard receptions; minors could order from a full service bar if they are at a wedding).  My friend had been arrested for giving alcohol to minors; the minors were told to dump the alcohol and not ticketed.  That is the risk the adult takes, the minor doesn't have much of a risk, as consumption is not illegal.

  15. YEP

  16. yes it is.  your parents will get in trouble if you do this.

  17. Yes, It is illegal to drink underaged period.

Even though my parents let me drink like when i went into highschool :S

  18. Yes that is absolutely illegal!

  19. just stay at home

  20. yeah.... u and your legal parent or guardian could get in trouble

  21. NOT IN TEXAS... IT'S TOTALLY LEGAL WITH A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

  22. well i dont believe theres anything wrong with that

and its' not like the cops are gonna barge into your house and randomly find out

  23. What state?

About 19 states don't prohibit the consumption of alcohol by minors at all. About 15 more allow for its consumption when under the supervision of a parent of guardian.

The only commonality in state laws is that you can't PURCHASE alcohol unless you are 21 or older.

  24. YEEEESSSSS!!!! Your parent of guardian can get into big legal trouble , it's called providing to a minor.

  25. yes ... you're still underage no matter WHO you're with......

  26. with a legal parent or gardian is all cool. but other than at religous services no.
