  1. Even thought that may not be the ideal sleeping arrangement there are no laws against it. Are they sleeping in the same bed? If they are then that is a lil unusual, but if they have seperate beds its not that unusal. Siblings of the opposite s*x sleep in the same room all the time.

  2. No it is not illegal anywhere.  The only time that it comes into play is if you are receiving section 8 housing assistance.  Then they sometimes require children of the opposite s*x to sleep in seperate bedrooms if they are over 5.

  3. Not that I know of, but that is obviously not a very safe living arrangement.  Especially as they age.

  4. no that isn't illegal

  5. While this may very by state, in my state it's not illegal. However, the court MAY frown on it as they are not biological siblings.

Personally, if they were half-siblings I wouldn't have a problem with it for maybe another year or so. But I also wouldn't want my child sleeping with an different gender step-sibling. I'm sure the step-brother is fine, but to me it just doesn't seem "right".

  6. no my sis who is 12 shares a room with my bro who is 10. Same with my 4 year old bro and 2 year old sis share a room. There is no law. why do you even care?? Its not your house, so its not your rules, deal with it.

  7. No, there's no law against it. Otherwise my sister and I would have been arrested with our parents...we shared a room until I was 9 and she was 11 because we only had 2 bedrooms. Then we reconfigured the attic and got a third bedroom.

  8. I don't think it is illegal.  You may get the court to frown upon it if you can prove that you can provide your daughter with a healthier, more stable environmnet.

  9. Absolutely not. I don't know if you have ever heard of Housing Authority but anyway now if they assist you with your living and you have two or more opposite s*x children they "have to" share a room.

  10. In most states you can NOT share a room if they are the opposite s*x after the boy is I think 4 or 5 so idk if it is or not but i know that in most case you shouldn't do that if you went to social services they don't want you do that l.but i might be different depending where you live

  11. I've never heard of this. But if it were me I wouldn't want to share a bedroom with my brother. The way people are now days they could start some sick rumor. My suggestion is try make way for another room for the girl. I'm sure she would love to decorate it in girl stuff and the boy would like to make him a boy looking room.

  12. In some states family services requires that children over the age of 5 cannot be in the same room with a child of the opposite s*x.You woild need to check with your local office thought it may ne different where you live.

  13. It's not illegal in ANY state. Court's do not frown upon such living arrangements as long as both children are being cared for and safe. There is nothing unsafe about it either contrary to what the other guy said.

You're pulling at straws trying to find ammunition to use in your custody case. This particular one definitely won't get you anywhere but trying to explain to the judge why your child cannot sleep in the same room with another child.

    Edit:

I repeat; THERE ARE NO LAWS IN ANY US STATE THAT PROHIBITS CO-SLEEPING REGARDLESS OF AGE.

Any family service such as CPS cannot cite a family, nor cause ANY confusion other than rendering an opinion to the parent about what they THINK the parent should do about the sleeping arrangements. Anyone who believes differently, PLEASE show me in ANY family code in ANY state where there are gender and age requirements regarding sleeping.

  14. No, there aren't any laws unless one or both of them is/are (a) foster child/children. Then it is illegal. Although I wouldn't recommend two people of the opposite s*x sleeping in the same room over the age of three or four, there aren't any laws. You're obviously just trying to pick a fight in order to win your daughter. Learn all you can about this and how to present your case and stuff so you can do a really good job of it. Good luck with your daughter!

  15. no it is not any laws stating that

but if they do not get along then it might not be the best thing to do

other wise I think it would be fine

  16. if you brought it up they may just give you custody for it, but it is stupid anyway.  if you wanna go that route, give yourself a hand for fighting dirty.  it would probably work.  find something else wrong that he does, so that you can be confident she is with the right parent.

  17. It is HIGHLY illegal. Please call the police on them so we can be protected from monsters like these.
