  1. Not at all.  I ask for water at restraunts and sometimes I'm not a customer.  Sounds like you had an incounter with a lazy employee if they refused to give it to you.

  2. It depends on what state you're in. Some places that water is real bad and should have offered you bottle water. Did you do something to p**s the waiter or waitress off because that sounds like a rude place. I would deffianlty had said something to the manger. That is messed up. A bar might charge you though. I once paid 3.00 dollars for a tiny bottle of water!!!

  3. idk i dont think its illegal though

  4. no

  5. nope

  6. is illegal in Scotland, paying customer or not.

  7. yes

  8. I would do the same as the waiter. Why not get bottled water. The water in your city probually isnt oh so well. But even if it was i still wouldnt serve it.

  9. Not illegal but certainly bad customer service.  I would have called for the manager and complained.  Each time a waiter decides to treat you wrong don't leave a tip they will get the idea sooner or later.

  10. depends on where you live.. I know there are several states of which ANY person cannot refuse another water. (I believe Arizona is the most well known for this) It doesnt matter if someone knocks on your door you must give them water.

I can't imagine why a restaurant wouldn't give you water.. i would definitely call the place and let someone know.

  11. Yes it is. You can get in some big trouble for even suggesting it.

  12. No, but I can't imagine a restaurant losing customers over a few cents worth of water. Its just bad business.
